Your journey will begin early in the morning from Dar es Salaam. Your driver will pick you up from your hotel or the airport and take you to the SGR Train Station, which is approximately a 1-hour drive. After that, your driver-guide will pick you up to Mikumi National Park, where you will enjoy a late morning and afternoon game drive. After the game drives, your driver will take you back to the train station in Morogoro for your return ride to Dar es Salaam.

Start your adventure with a scenic train ride from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi. This slow-paced journey offers a unique opportunity to see Tanzania's beautiful landscapes while taking in sights of authentic Tanzanian life. Upon your arrival in Mikumi, your safari guide will welcome you and transfer you to Mikumi National Park for an exciting game drive. The park is home to diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and antelopes. Your guide will take you through various sections of the park, stopping at key locations where animals are frequently seen. You may witness herds of elephants moving gracefully and lions resting under trees. Often compared to the Serengeti, Mikumi is one of the best locations to observe predators and large herbivores. After an incredible wildlife experience, enjoy lunch at the cottages within the park. Afterward, you will continue with another game drive before returning to the train station for your journey back to Dar es Salaam.
