Your Kilimanjaro day trip begins early with pickup from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. Enjoy a scenic drive to West Kilimanjaro through forested areas, watch for Colobus monkeys along the way. Your hike starts at the Shira Plateau (3,500m), featuring rugged terrain and, weather permitting, panoramic views of Kibo Peak and the northern glaciers. Guided by a ranger, the 4-hour trek is moderately challenging and suited for most fitness levels. After the descent, head to Kikuletwa Hot Springs for a relaxing swim in crystal-clear, warm waters surrounded by fig trees. After unwinding, you'll be driven back to your hotel.
