On this day trip, hike the Kilimanjaro Mountain via Marangu Route up to Mandara Hut (Please note that this trek does not extend to the Summit). All short treks are conducted on a private basis and can commence on any day of the year. These treks are specifically designed for those who enjoy hiking and wish to experience the thrill of Kilimanjaro Mountain. A certified Kilimanjaro guide is required for all treks in Tanzania’s national parks. Only the Marangu Route allows short treks like this.

Following breakfast at your hotel in Arusha or Moshi, you’ll meet your guide and drive approximately 1–2 hours to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate for registration and the start of your trek. The hike takes you through lush rainforest to Mandara Hut. A short detour to Maundi Crater offers scenic views of northern Tanzania and Kenya. Along the trail, watch for Eucalyptus trees, vibrant birdlife, and Colobus monkeys. After lunch, descend and return by vehicle to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha where we will drop you off. Elevation: 1860m/6100ft to 2700m/8875ft Distance: 8km/5mi Hiking Time: 3-4 hours up / 2-3 hours down Habitat: Montane Forest Meals: Lunch.
