At 05:00 AM, after an early morning breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from your Kigali hotel and drive east toward Akagera National Park, Rwanda's premier wildlife destination. Upon arrival, you'll embark on a morning boat cruise on Lake Ihema to view hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife. You'll continue with a thrilling game drive through the park's northern plains, where elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and even lions roam freely. After an eventful day in the wild, you will exit the park and return to Kigali in the evening, marking the end of your Akagera adventure
