10-Day Epic Migration Safari in Ultra-Luxury

You'll begin your safari with a pickup from your Nairobi hotel or the airport for a scenic drive into the Masai Mara. You'll arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Then, you'll head out on your first afternoon game drive to see the wildebeest herds and their predators against the golden light of evening. Over the next two days, you'll focus entirely on the migration. Your guide will lead you to the best spots to follow the herds, whether grazing on the plains or massing near the rivers for dramatic crossings. You'll expect to see lions, cheetahs, and hyenas shadowing the herds, while elephants, giraffes, and buffalo add to the richness of the Mara. Evenings at your lodge bring time to relax, dine, and relive the action of the day.

Take a series of 2 short bush flights to the Northern Serengeti and sail over beautiful savannahs and plains. After landing at the airstrip in the Northern Serengeti, you will be picked up and transferred to your safari lodge for lunch and time to relax. Later, take an afternoon game drive in search of Serengeti wildlife, and of course, the great migration from the Tanzania side. The following day is dedicated to the heart-stopping drama of the Great Migration. This region is where wildebeest and zebra gather in their tens of thousands, drawn to the river that stands between them and fresh grazing lands. You'll spend the day tracking the herds as they build momentum for the perilous crossings, where crocodiles lie in wait and predators stalk the edges. Few safari moments rival the thunder of hooves, the tension of the chase, and the sheer scale of life on the move. By evening, you'll return to your lodge for storytelling and relaxation, surrounded by the sounds of the Serengeti.

After breakfast, you'll drive back to Arusha. You’ll be transferred to a hotel of your choice or directly to the airport for your onward flight, carrying with you memories of migration drama, predator action, and Africa’s most iconic landscapes.

On day six, you'll depart the Northern Serengeti with a game drive en route through sweeping plains alive with wildlife. You'll arrive at your Central Serengeti lodge in time for lunch. Then, you'll set off on an afternoon game drive into the famous Seronera Valley. This area is a magnet for big cats, and it’s common to spot cheetahs sprinting across the grasslands or leopards in the shade of acacia trees. The mix of open plains and rocky kopjes makes this a hunting ground. Day seven is yours to dive deeper into this iconic landscape. Choose between a morning and afternoon game drive with a restful break at your lodge, or an all-day safari with a picnic lunch that allows you to explore farther afield. The Central Serengeti is home to some of the largest lion prides in Africa, as well as elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and abundant plains game. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for another evening of fine dining and unforgettable sounds of the African night.

On day eight, you'll leave the Serengeti behind and drive about four hours to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You'll descend into the world-famous crater, where you’ll enjoy a private bush lunch surrounded by breathtaking scenery before setting out on an afternoon game drive across the crater floor. Often described as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” this UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to more than 25,000 animals, including lions, elephants, and one of the best places in East Africa to spot the endangered black rhino. The following day is dedicated to a deeper exploration of the crater. Choose between a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch or a morning safari before returning to your lodge to relax and take in the sweeping views from the crater rim. Evenings here are magical, with sunsets painting the rim in golden light and starlit skies stretching endlessly above.
