Day 1 Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park

Upon arrival at Dar es Salaam International Airport, you will be met by a representative from the Rioba Safaris and transferred to the Selous Game Reserve, also known as Nyerere National Park. This is a long drive that takes approximately 5-6 hours. You'll arrive at your camp in the late afternoon and ready for boat safari at Rufiji River, have dinner, and then relax around the campfire.

Day 2 Nyerere National Park-Full Game Drive

After an early breakfast, head out on a morning game drive. Nyerere National Park is a vast and diverse wilderness area that is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and many species of antelope. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your game drive in the afternoon.

Day 3 Transfer to Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, you'll travel to Mikumi National Park. The drive takes you through picturesque landscapes and traditional Tanzanian villages. You'll arrive in time for lunch, and in the afternoon, you'll embark on a game drive in the park. Keep an eye out for zebras, wildebeest, and impalas, as well as the park's predators, such as lions and leopards.

Day 4 Mikumi National Park-Full Game Drive

Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park. The park is home to four of the Big Five (lions, elephants, leopards, and buffalos), and with a bit of luck, you might spot them all. You'll also have the opportunity to see some of the park's unique birdlife, including the Lilac-breasted Roller and the Bateleur Eagle.

Day 5 Transfer to Udzungwa Mountains National Park

After breakfast, you'll leave Mikumi behind and head to Udzungwa Mountains National Park. The park is home to several rare and endemic species, including the Udzungwa red colobus monkey and the Sanje crested mangabey. You'll spend the afternoon hiking through the park, exploring waterfalls and enjoying stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Day 6 Udzungwa Mountains National Park-Sanje Waterfalls

Today is dedicated to further exploration of Udzungwa Mountains National Park. You'll hike to the top of the park's highest peak, Sanje Mountain, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the park and the surrounding area. After lunch, you'll have some free time to relax or explore on your own.

Day 7 Udzungwa to Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, you'll leave Udzungwa behind and head to Ruaha National Park. The park is one of Tanzania's largest and most remote, and is home to a staggering variety of wildlife. You'll arrive in time for lunch, and in the afternoon, you'll embark on a game drive in the park.

Day 8 Ruaha National Park-Full Game Drive

Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive in Ruaha National Park. With its vast plains and diverse habitats, the park is home to a range of species, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, and wild dogs. You'll also have the opportunity to see some of the park's unique birdlife, including the Yellow-collared Lovebird and the Rufous-tailed Weaver.

Day 9 Walking Safari -Drive to Iringa then fly to Dar Es Salaam

Start your day with a guided walking safari in Ruaha National Park, accompanied by an experienced ranger who will introduce you to the park’s diverse ecosystems, animal tracks, and fascinating flora and fauna while exploring the wilderness on foot. After this immersive morning experience, depart Ruaha and drive to Iringa for your scheduled flight to Dar es Salaam.
