2-Day Amboseli & Mt Kilimanjaro Private Safari

A Gemfinders Safaris driver-guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel or airport at 7:00 AM and brief you on your safari. Depart for Amboseli National Park, traveling along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway, with a brief stop at Emali Town. Enjoy views of the vast Athi Plains before taking the road toward Amboseli. You will arrive at Penety Amboseli Resort around 12:00 PM, where you will check in and have lunch. After some rest, head out for a 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM afternoon game drive in Amboseli National Park. Here, you'll encounter large herds of elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and more, with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Visit Observation Hill for panoramic views of the park’s swamps and plains teeming with wildlife. As the sun sets, return to Penety Amboseli Resort for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay, preparing for more adventures ahead.

After an early breakfast, you'll embark on a morning game drive from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, capturing Amboseli’s breathtaking scenery in the soft morning light. If the skies are clear, you'll see the stunning view of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the plains. Search for the Big Five and other wildlife, including large elephant herds, cheetahs, and hyenas. At 10:30 AM, check out of Penety Amboseli Resort. You may choose to visit a Maasai village (at an extra cost) from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM to engage with the Maasai people, learn about their customs, and explore their traditional homes. You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase handmade crafts as souvenirs. Otherwise, continue directly with your journey back to Nairobi, with a stop for lunch at Emali around 2:00 PM. Enjoy the changing landscapes along the way. You will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM (depending on traffic), marking the end of your safari adventure.
