07:00 AM – Pick-up & Departure Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a safari briefing by your Kitano Tours & Safaris guide, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, enjoying a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley. 09:00 AM – Game Drive in Lake Manyara National Park Upon arrival, begin your game drive through the park's diverse habitats, including lush groundwater forests, open grasslands, acacia woodlands, and the alkaline lake. Wildlife you may encounter includes: African elephants Giraffes Zebras Buffaloes Hippos Blue monkeys Olive baboons Wildebeests Impalas Warthogs With a little luck, you may also spot the park's famous tree-climbing lions. Lake Manyara is also home to over 400 bird species, including flamingos (seasonal), pelicans, storks, and kingfishers. 12:30 PM – Picnic Lunch Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the park's designated picnic sites while surrounded by nature. 01:30 PM – Afternoon Game Drive Continue exploring different sections of the park and enjoy excellent wildlife viewing and photography opportunities. 04:00 PM – Transfer to Karatu Leave the park and drive to Karatu, where you will check in to your lodge or tented camp.
