2-Day Masai Mara & Maasai Village Private Budget Safari

You will be picked up in the morning at around 7:00 am by a Marula Horizon Safaris guide/staff from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and settle into a comfortable 4x4 pop-up-roof safari van—with the option to upgrade to a 4x4 Land Cruiser. You'll travel through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley, stopping at scenic viewpoints for sweeping panoramas before continuing across the golden savannah to the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve. You'll arrive at your tented camp in time for a freshly prepared lunch. In the afternoon, you'll visit an authentic Maasai village to learn about their traditions and warrior culture, then enjoy a leisurely guided nature walk with a Maasai naturalist to spot indigenous plants and animal tracks. As night falls, you'll savour a hearty dinner and overnight at Flair Camp Experiences (or a similar ). After an early breakfast, you'll depart at 6:00 AM for a full-day game drive across the iconic Masai Mara. The early morning is ideal for spotting predators in action. You'll track the Big Five—lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, and buffalo—while also watching for cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Between July and October, you'll witness the Great Migration, as massive herds of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River, braving strong currents and crocodiles. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot in the reserve before continuing your game drive in the afternoon. Capture stunning landscapes and seek out any animals you may have missed. An optional hot-air balloon safari is available at sunrise (additional cost), offering aerial views and a champagne bush breakfast. Around 3:30 PM, you'll exit the reserve and begin the return drive through the Great Rift Valley, arriving in Nairobi by early evening with drop off at the airport or your hotel
