2-Day Tarangire National Park & Ngorongoro Crater Safari

06:30 AM – Pick-up & Departure Your safari begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a short safari briefing by your Kitano Tours & Safaris guide, depart for Tarangire National Park, enjoying a scenic drive through the Maasai plains and rural countryside. 09:00 AM – Game Drive in Tarangire National Park Upon arrival, begin your exciting game drive through one of Tanzania's most wildlife-rich national parks. Tarangire is renowned for its vast elephant population, majestic baobab trees, and the life-giving Tarangire River, which attracts a wide variety of animals throughout the year. Wildlife you may encounter includes: African elephants Lions Giraffes Zebras Buffaloes Wildebeests Impalas Warthogs Ostriches Elands Kudus Leopards (occasionally) The park is also home to more than 550 bird species, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts. 12:30 PM – Picnic Lunch Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch at one of the park's scenic picnic sites while surrounded by breathtaking wilderness. 01:30 PM – Afternoon Game Drive Continue exploring different areas of the park, following the Tarangire River in search of more wildlife and incredible photography opportunities. 04:00 PM – Transfer to Karatu Leave Tarangire National Park and drive to Karatu, where you will check in to your lodge or tented camp. 06:30 AM – Breakfast After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. 08:00 AM – Descend into Ngorongoro Crater Drive to the crater rim before descending approximately 600 meters into the crater floor for an unforgettable wildlife experience. The Ngorongoro Crater offers one of Africa's highest concentrations of wildlife and is one of the best places to spot the Big Five. Animals commonly seen include: Lions African elephants Black rhinoceroses Buffaloes Leopards (occasionally) Hyenas Hippos Zebras Wildebeests Gazelles Flamingos (seasonal) 12:30 PM – Picnic Lunch Enjoy a picnic lunch at the famous Ngoitokitok Hippo Pool Picnic Site, where you can observe hippos while relaxing in the heart of the crater. 01:30 PM – Afternoon Game Drive Continue exploring the crater floor before ascending back to the rim. 03:30 PM – Return to Arusha Begin your scenic drive back to Arusha. 06:00 PM – Arrival Arrive in Arusha and transfer to your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your memorable safari with Kitano Tours & Safaris.
