2-Day Ultimate Rwanda Safari Experience in Akagera National Park

After an early morning breakfast at your residence in Kigali, Rwanda. Your guide driver meets & greets, briefing about the tour will be followed by a 2 - 3 hour journey to Akagera National Park. Expect to pass through beautiful countryside with amazing hills. Once you arrive at the park gate, there will be registration & then check in at Akagera Game Lodge. After your check in transfer to Lake Ihema for a boat cruise safari. Lake Ihema Boat Cruise safari has excellent way for viewing birds, crocodiles, hippos & also terrestrial animals drinking on the shores. Among the bird species to look out for are, kingfishers, fish eagles and cormorants to mention but a few. Rare shoebill stock is in rare case seen during the boat cruise safari. Wake up early, shower & take breakfast. Checkout in your rooms & your Driver Guide will be up early to begin the game drive. Today you will be joined by the park community ranger Guide who will help with locating the best places to find the animals. Today's game drive will be much longer since there will be more time & no activity in the afternoon. It starts from the southern gate of the park all the way to the northern section of the park. This could go on for 6 hours with most of the time spent park plains, hills & swamps that has abundant concentration of wildlife. In case you missed any of the animals on the first day, this is the time to see them. Expect to see buffaloes, impalas, hippos, Giraffes, Elephants & all kinds of antelopes with the help of the park Guide.
