Mikumi National Park is Tanzania’s fourth–largest national park and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam. Within its 3230 sq km. It is set between the Uluguru Mountains to the north and the Lumango Mountains to the south-east. Mikumi hosts buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, lions, pythons, zebras, leopards, crocodiles, and many more just to mention a few.

Day by Day

Day 1 Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

You will be picked up from the airport, hotel, or ferry, and drive to Mikumi National Park, which is approximately a 5-6 hour drive. You will stop in Morogoro for lunch and proceed to Mikumi National Park. On arrival in the park, you will immediately visit the Masai Boma. After your visit, you will be brought back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 2 Morning to Evening Game Drives in Mikumi National Park

After breakfast at 6:30 am, you will drive to Mikumi National Park for a full-day game drive until sunset. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in the hotel. Whilst on safari, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffalos, and elephants. If you are lucky, you may also be able to spot lions and leopards. Other animals you're likely to see include zebras, hippos, hartebeests, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, elands and antelopes.
Day 3 Mikumi National Park to Dar es Salaam

You'll have an early morning breakfast. Afterward, you'll drive back to Dar es Salaam via Morogoro town. On arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be dropped off at the ferry for the second or last ferry to Zanzibar, or we can drop you off at the airport or hotel.
