3-Day Akagera Wildlife Safari: An Unforgettable Rwanda Adventure

After breakfast, a Lion Safaris driver-guide will come to pick you up from your home/hotel or if you land at the airport, he will come to pick you up there. You'll drive to the Eastern province of Rwanda where the park is located, on arrival at the park reception, you will register and then continue to check in at your booked lodge Ruzizi Tented Lodge, and have your lunch. After lunch is the afternoon game drive in search of some animals like zebras, antelopes, and buffaloes. After that short game drive, the driver-guide will drive you to Lake Ihema to attend the boat trip where you can see hippos, crocodiles, and different waters on Nyirabiyoro Islands. You will get a good 1h 30 minutes. Then the driver-guide will bring you back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After your breakfast, with your packed lunch, our driver-guide will come to pick you up. You'll go for a full-day game drive from the south to the north of the park where most of the animals are expected but depends on the seasons. There are very open and flat plains which are Kilala and Mohana plains. You will enjoy the animals there, you can see elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, etc. Then the driver-guide will suggest one of the best picnic spots where you will enjoy your packed lunch and continue your safari with full enjoyment of park landscapes and animals. After, it's a drive back to the south same time making the game drive to check if can are any other new animal species you can see up to the south and be ready for the night game drive which offers much chance to spot nocturnal species such as leopards, hyenas, genet cats, Aadvarks, jacals, owls. After the night safari is the drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at your booked lodge.

In the morning after enjoying your late breakfast, a Lion Safaris driver-guide will come to take you then you will go for a short game drive in the south to verify if there are any other animal species that you can see on the last day. Afterward, you'll have a drive back to Kigali and get dropped off at your hotel/residence or at the airport depending on your flight time back home.
