3-Day Safari Trip to Awash National Park

Upon your arrival at Bole International Airport, you will enjoy breakfast in Addis Ababa at a convenient location. Following breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive to Awash National Park, located in the Great Rift Valley region. As you travel, take in the picturesque landscapes that surround you. Once you arrive at the park, you will be greeted by your experienced safari guide, who will provide an overview of the day's itinerary and safety guidelines. In the afternoon, your safari adventure will begin with a game drive through the park's diverse habitats. Keep an eye out for plains wildlife, including zebras, oryx, kudu, gazelles, and the endangered Swayne's hartebeest, which you may have the opportunity to photograph.

You will start your day early with a sunrise game drive, witnessing the awakening of the park's wildlife as the sun casts golden hues over the landscape. During this drive, keep an eye out for elusive predators like lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas as they begin their morning hunt. At midday, we will return to our accommodations for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a nature walk and birdwatching. Later, you will embark on an exciting night safari adventure, where you will have the opportunity to spot nocturnal wildlife such as genets, civets and bush babies. After the safari, we will return to camp for dinner and share our safari stories around the campfire before retiring to your comfortable accommodations.

After breakfast, you will visit the spectacular Awash River Falls and marvel at the thundering cascades as the water plunges into the gorge below. Next, you will explore the surrounding area and enjoy birdwatching opportunities along the riverbanks. At midday, you will visit a local village near Awash National Park. This will allow you to immerse yourself in the culture and traditions of the indigenous communities, interact with locals and learn about their way of life. In the afternoon, you will bid farewell to Awash National Park and begin your journey back to Addis Ababa, filled with unforgettable memories of your safari adventure. You will arrive in Addis Ababa in the evening, concluding your 3-day safari trip to Awash National Park.
