3-Day Taita Hills Sanctuary Tour

You will be picked up from your beach hotel early at 6:30 am and depart by road to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. Upon arrival, you will have your first game drive, searching for wildlife in the sanctuary. At noon, you will go for lunch at the Taita Hills Resort. After lunch, you will go to the Salt Lick Safari Lodge, check in and relax for about 2 hours. In the afternoon, you will head out for a game drive in the sanctuary, searching for lions, elephants, ostriches, zebras and other wildlife until sunset. You will return to the Salt Lick Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight. The lodge is memorable for its imaginative structure. These 2-storey towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs connected by open-air bridges, create an African fantasy of a medieval fortress. The lodge has been built with game viewing in mind. The structure provides you with a panoramic view of the sanctuary, offering spectacular views of the landscape.

Wake up and enjoy an early breakfast, and then depart for a morning game drive in the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, searching for lions, ostriches, gnus, gazelles, giraffes and other wildlife until 1:00 pm, when you will go for lunch at the Taita Hills Resort. After lunch, you will go to Salt Lick Lodge to relax until 4:00 pm, when you will go for a game drive in the sanctuary until sunset. You come back to the Salt Lick Lodge, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Wake up and enjoy an early morning game drive in the sanctuary, then return for breakfast at the Salt Lick Safari Lodge. At around 10:30 am, you will depart for Mombasa/Diani, taking part in a short game drive on your way out of the sanctuary. You will arrive in Mombasa/Diani at around 4:00 pm, where you will be dropped off at your beach hotel. This is the end of your safari.
