Start the day with your flight from Addis Ababa to Lalibela town. Upon arrival your guide picks you up at the airport to go check in at the hotel. After check-in your knowledgeable guide will take you to see these mysterious monolithic churches carved into the rock of the Ethiopian highlands. The day ends with an evening of local drinks and dance, optional for an extra cost'.
Day 2 Hike to Asheton Mariam

This morning after breakfast we head out to the weekly market where locals get all their shopping needs met. Here we have a chance to try some highly sought after honey, buy local herbs and medicinal remedies as well as practice our haggling skills. After dropping off any purchases, we head out on our moderate intensity hike up to Asheton Mariam monastery. The trek will not only get your heart rate up but you will also take in some of the best views over the town of Lalibela. We finish the day with an Ethiopian cooking class with coffee ceremony.
Day 3 Fly back to Addis Ababa

Early morning before breakfast we follow the faithful to morning mass. We have a chance to get blessed by the Ethiopian Orthodox priest as well as witness the ancient spiritual practices of the Ethiopian Orthodox church. After your breakfast the guide and driver will take you to the airport for the flight back to Addis Ababa.
