3-Day Tigray Rock Churches & Gheralta Mountain Trekking

Upon arrival at Mekelle Airport, meet your guide and begin the journey to the famous Gheralta region. Your first stop is Abreha we Atsbeha Church, one of Ethiopia's oldest rock-hewn churches, traditionally dating to the 4th century. Your camping crew will prepare the campsite on the Korkor Plateau, where you'll enjoy dinner, a campfire, and an unforgettable night beneath the stars.

Trek back down to your vehicle and drive toward Mekelle, stopping to visit Wukro Cherkos, a remarkable 13th-century rock-hewn church carved into a massive sandstone formation.
