Tsavo East National Park in Kenya is home to most of the larger mammals, including vast herds of dust–red elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbuck, lesser kudu, gerenuk and prolific birdlife, with 500 recorded species.
