4-Day Mikumi National Park Safari (from Dar Es Salaam)

Program of the day: Our driver from Wildebeest Footsteps Adventures will pick you up at Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) and transfer you to your hotel in Dar es Salaam town for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay before embarking on an amazing adventure with us the next day, fully energised.

You will be picked up early in the morning from your hotel in Dar es Salaam by a professional driver-guide from Wildebeest Footsteps Adventures and begin the drive to Mikumi National Park via Morogoro. Enjoy scenic views of the countryside and local villages along the way, arriving around midday for check-in at your lodge or tented camp. Lunch is followed by an afternoon game drive across the Mkata Floodplain, where you may see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, lions, and a variety of bird species, before returning to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will depart for a full day of game drives inside Mikumi National Park, exploring different areas including open savannahs, waterholes, and hippo pools where wildlife is abundant. You have the opportunity to spot predators such as lions and hyenas, as well as large herbivores like elephants and buffaloes. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, followed by further afternoon game viewing and photography before returning to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Following breakfast and check-out from the lodge, you will begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam with a short optional morning Maasai Boma visit if time allows. Proceed through Morogoro with a lunch stop en route, continuing the journey to Dar es Salaam, where you will arrive in the late afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or the airport. This marks the end of your safari with Wildebeest Footsteps Adventures.
