4-Day Udzungwa Treking & Mikumi Safari

Morning After breakfast meet and greet with our professional driver-guide, who will pick you up for your journey to Mikumi National Park. Enjoy the stunning scenery as you pass through the Uruguru Mountains and the expansive sisal plantations of Morogoro. We will stop in Morogoro for a hot lunch, after which you will continue your safari. Upon arrival at Mikumi, check in to your accommodation and take some time to relax. In the late afternoon, you will head out for a walking safari to a nearby Maasai Village, You will visit Masai Village in Mikumi Morogoro where the friendly Maasai will greet you with traditional welcome songs and dance, moreover, you will get the opportunity to learn about their culture. You will also have time to take pictures with the Masai people. Afterward, return to Camp Bastian for dinner and your overnight stay.

Early in the morning, you will be served a cup of coffee or tea, followed by a sunrise game drive, where you can enjoy the park's beauty as the day begins. After the game drive, you will return for breakfast around 09:00 AM. Following breakfast, you'll continue with your safari, enjoying a packed box lunch along the way. In Mikumi, you can expect to encounter a variety of wildlife, including lions, buffalo, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, impalas, warthogs, elephants, hippos, and over 300 bird species. Your accommodation for the night will be at Camp Bastian Mikumi, where you can relax and unwind after an exciting day of exploration.

You’ll be picked up from your hotel early in the morning and enjoy a scenic drive to the Udzungwa National Park with a Packed Lunch box. Once you arrive and complete the necessary registration, your exciting hike will begin! You’ll take the Sanje route, which will lead you to the breathtaking 4-stage waterfalls, a must-see highlight of the park. Udzungwa is one of the world’s thirty-four biodiversity hotspots, so you’re in for a real treat! As you explore, you’ll likely encounter a variety of primates 11 species live here, with two found nowhere else in the world. You may also spot the habituated Sanje mangabeys, along with endemic plant species, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and butterflies. After a full day of hiking and wildlife viewing, you’ll head back to Mikumi National Park in the evening for your overnight stay at Camp Bastian Mikumi, where you can relax and reflect on an unforgettable day.

After a delicious breakfast, you will check out and begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam. On the way, we’ll make a relaxing stop for a hot lunch, giving you a chance to enjoy one last meal together before reaching the city. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be dropped off at your preferred location, marking the end of this unforgettable safari adventure.
