4-Day Western Route Adventure the Murchison Fall

Early in the morning, your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala and begin your journey northwards to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda's largest and one of the most spectacular national parks. Known as a true gem of Uganda's wilderness, the park is home to an impressive diversity of wildlife, including 76 mammal species and over 450 bird species. En route, you will make a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Uganda's only home for wild rhinos, where you will enjoy a guided rhino tracking experience on foot. Spend approximately two hours walking through the sanctuary with knowledgeable guides as you learn about rhino conservation efforts and observe these magnificent creatures in their natural environment. After the rhino tracking adventure, you will enjoy lunch before continuing your scenic drive towards Murchison Falls National Park. As you approach the park, enjoy beautiful views of Uganda's countryside and landscapes before arriving in the evening at lodge.

Wake up early and have a quick breakfast and head out for morning game drive, make sure to carry your camera for the best shots. You will be able to spot lions, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, Jackson hartebeests, antelopes, duikers, hyenas, warthogs, all can be spotted in the savannah open grassland. Later return back to the lodge for lunch and refresh and in the afternoon go for a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will have a close look to the thrilling white-water falls. Along you will also be able to spot schools of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants at the bank of the lake, water bird species such as storks, fish eagles among others. You also have a chance to hike to the top falls and meet your driver guide at the top and drive you back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, take a boat safari towards the Nile delta, an excellent area for birdwatching and wildlife viewing, with chances of spotting the rare shoebill stork. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the late afternoon, enjoy another game drive to explore different sections of the park and increase your chances of seeing wildlife before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at your lodge before checking out and beginning your scenic journey back to Kampala. As you drive through Uganda's beautiful countryside, take in the views of rolling hills, farmlands, and vibrant local communities along the way. You will have a stopover for lunch at a local restaurant, allowing you time to refresh and enjoy a taste of Ugandan cuisine before continuing with your journey. Arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or preferred location, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
