Day by Day

Day 1 Zanzibar to Kogatande Airstrip
Morning 🏨Safari Haven Migration Camp 🍽Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) Non-alcoholic drinks
You'll arrive at Kogatende Airstrip, where your professional driver-guide will warmly welcome you. You will spend the day on game drives in the Kogatende and Bologonja areas, focusing on the Great Migration. The herds have reached the northern Serengeti, preparing for the epic crossing of the Mara River. Thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles gather along the river, moving through Gardenia Valley into the Nyamalumbwa Plains and Sand River. The Great Wildebeest Migration, an annual movement of over two million grazers across the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystems, is one of nature's most spectacular wildlife events.
Day 2 Northern Serengeti National Park
Morning 🏨Safari Haven Migration Camp 🍽All meals included Non-alcoholic drinks
After an early breakfast, you have a game drive. The Northern Serengeti offers a chance to escape the crowds: this region of the park - wedged between the Central Serengeti and Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve to the north - is remote and relatively inaccessible, which means it sees fewer visitors. Travelers who make it to this corner of the Serengeti will be rewarded with gorgeous landscapes. The 800-kilometer trek of the immense wildebeest herd is the largest mammal migration on earth. The timing of the migration coincides with the greening of nutritious grasses on the short-grass plains during the wet season. These areas are safer because predators can be easily spotted, making it an ideal place for calving. However, the plains are dry, and the wildebeest are forced to move in search of greener pastures in the western corridor. The northern extension of the ecosystem has the highest rainfall, but the grasses are least nutritious.
Day 3 Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti National Park
Morning 🏨Safari Haven Serengeti Camp 🍽Safari Haven Serengeti Camp
After breakfast, you'll have a full-day game drive searching migration crossing Mara river in Northern Serengeti national park if you're planning a safari from Northern Serengeti you're in for a treat The Serengeti National Park is home to a variety of wildlife species including the Big Five such as elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalos and leopards which are considered the most difficult wildlife species to hunt on foot. Other wildlife species that can be seen during a safari around Serengeti National Park include wildebeests, zebras, cheetahs, hippos, antelopes, impalas, and waterbuck. The annual migration of two million ungulates, wildebeest through Serengeti National Park, is the greatest wildlife spectacle of its type in Africa, and perhaps the world. Although variations occur from year to year, the Serengeti migration follows a reasonably predictable annual cycle, dictated by local rainfall patterns. The Great Migration cycle breaks up into the following periods.
Day 4 Central Serengeti National Park to Karatu
Morning 🏨Farm of Dreams Lodge 🍽All meals included Non-alcoholic drinks
Early morning game drive towards the Central Serengeti for game drive. The great migration is supposed to be in this area from late July to mid-October, crossing the famous Mara River to the Masai Mara reserve in Kenya and back to the Serengeti. You will have a high opportunity to see them crossing while in the river, and attack them. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for the possibility of watching a big pride of lions, be in the middle of the migration, sometimes surrounded by wildebeest as well as hippo pools, sometimes by zebras, which travel with the wildebeest. We journey from the wide-open plains to the kopjes: these volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals, and from the top, we can look out across the vast grasslands. After the game drive, you will be transferred to Farm of Dream Lodge in Karatu, 4 to 5 hours.
Day 5 Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha Airport
Morning 🏨No accommodation 🍽Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Non-alcoholic drinks
After breakfast, you will find your driver guide ready to pick you up and start your safari. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo). Other animals that can be found in the crater include wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, hyenas, jackals, hippos, and antelopes 12. The crater is also home to the world's densest lion population and the highest density of lions in the world. Additionally, the crater hosts the rare black rhino. It is important to note that giraffes are not found inside the crater, as the steep walls of the crater form a natural barrier for them. After the game drive, you will be transferred to Arusha Airport for the flight to Zanzibar.
