This Tour combine game drive in Mikumi National Park, Hiking Udzungwa Mountains National Park and Maasai Boma. Mwanihana Peak Trail is a two night trek, taking you on a 38km round trip deep into the forest, and up to 2140m. The trail passes through a number of habitats, from miombo woodland, through grassy plateau, sub montane forest, montane forest, bamboo, and finally heather at the top. Its quite common to see elephants on this trail. Last day you will visit Maasai Boma.

Day 1 Dar es Salaam to Mikumi Ntional Park

Pick you from hotel early morning at 4:00am then drive straight to Mikumi park (5 -6hrs driving) Arriving around 10:00am in Mikumi National Park and starting game drive looking the animals until 6:00pm sunset. Lunch will be at the Park. Dinner and overnight will be at Mikumi Bastian Camp.
Day 2 Udzungwa Moutntain to Njia Panda Campsite

At 07:00am after breakfast with lunch packed heing to Udzunga Mt. National Park, arrival for registration and, with your Guide, Chef cook, Ranger and Porters starting Trekking Mwanihana –Sonjo Trails 12km, it will take 3-4hours to reach the Campsite Njia Panda. The trail leads through lushly vegetated land along a small river. You will be surrounded by the sound of the endemic Red Colobus Monkeys. Dinner and overnight at Njia Panda Campsite.
Day 3 Mwanihana Peak 2150m(14km)

Enjoy bush breakfast at Njia Panda Campsite, proceed trek the Udzugwa Mt. through the changing forest to the Mwanihana Peak. Encounter true montane vegetation amongst the Giant Ericas. Below you will view a spider’s web of elephant trails crisscrossing the park. Descend and trek through the forest until you reach your camp for the night. The path goes up and down for the first hundred meters before going uphill permanently. There are also elephants and buffalo on the plateau, which is why the hike is accompanied by an armed ranger. The vegetation becomes denser and in some areas you will have to overcome tree trunks and climb the increasingly steep path before reaching the top and enjoying breathtaking views of the pristine Udzungwa Mountain National Park. Will return the same way to Njia Panda for Dinner and over nigh.
Day 4 Udzngwa to Mikumi Villag

After enjoying last bush breakfast will descend to the ending point, on the way back will stop at Sonjo Waterfalls (120m) take a refreshing swim in natural plunge pool. After lunch will proceed descend to meet the driver and drive to Mikumi Camp Bastian for overnight.
Day 5 Mikumi Maasai Tour to Dar es Salaam

At 06:30am will visit Maasa Village for life histories and activities till 08;00am back for breakfast, After breakfast with lunch packed will drive back to Dar es Salaam drop off Airport or Hotel.
