Your Christmas adventure begins with a transfer to Marangu Gate, where your guide completes registration and provides a safety briefing. You start trekking through the lush rainforest filled with monkeys and colorful birds. The hike is gentle and scenic, taking about 4–5 hours before reaching Mandara Hut for dinner and overnight rest.
Day 2 Mandara Huts - Horombo Huts

After breakfast, you continue climbing through the last stretch of rainforest before entering the moorland zone. The trail becomes more open, offering beautiful views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. The hike takes around 5–6 hours and brings you to Horombo Hut, where you enjoy a warm meal and a calm evening in the mountains.
Day 3 Horombo Huts - Kibo Huts Day

Today's trek leads across a wide, barren alpine desert known as the saddle. The landscape is dramatic and quiet, with spectacular views throughout the day. The 5–6 hour hike brings you to Kibo Hut, where you prepare for the most important night of the journey the Christmas Eve summit push. After an early meal, you rest and get ready for your midnight start.
Day 4 Christmas Eve to Christmas moment– Summit to Uhuru Peak descend Horombo Hut

Just before midnight on Christmas Eve, you begin your ascent under the stars. The climb is slow and steady as your guide leads you to Gilman’s Point by sunrise. From here, the final walk to Uhuru Peak brings you to the highest point in Africa—right on Christmas morning. Celebrate this unforgettable moment with breathtaking views, photos, and holiday cheer. After the summit, you descend to Kibo Hut for rest, then continue down to Horombo Hut for a well-deserved dinner and sleep.
Day 5 Horombo Huts- Marangu Gates - Moshi

After breakfast, you begin your final descent through the moorland and rainforest to Marangu Gate, a 5–6 hour trek. Upon arrival, you’ll receive your Christmas Summit Certificate and celebrate your achievement. From here, you’ll be driven back to Moshi for a warm shower and relaxation, with drop-off at your hotel or directly at the airport, depending on your preference.
