Day 1 Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park (Selous)

Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Dar es Salaam. You'll head towards Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve) on a scenic 4-5 hour drive through charming villages and beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, you'll embark on an exciting boat safari along the Rufiji River, where you will encounter hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. You may also spot elephants and other wildlife coming to drink at the riverbanks. As the sun sets, the sky transforms into a stunning golden hue, making for an unforgettable experience. After the boat safari, you'll return to your lodge/camp for dinner and an overnight stay. You'll be immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the African wilderness.

Day 2 Full Game Drives in Nyerere National Park

You will begin your day with an early morning game drive in Nyerere National Park. As the sun rises, the park comes to life with opportunities to spot a variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and leopards. Your guide will share insights into the park’s diverse ecosystem, enhancing your safari experience. After game driving, you will return to your lodge for the night. On next day, you'll have a morning walking safari with a wild ranger with a gun and a walking expert guide before checking out of your accommodation and embarking on a scenic drive towards Mikumi National Park. The drive will take around 5 hours, offering views of rolling hills, farms, and small villages. Upon arrival in Mikumi, you will check in at your camp, where you will have time to relax and stay overnight.

Day 3 Nyerere National Park to Mikumi National Park

In the morning after breakfast, you'll embark on a drive with a packed lunch box from Selous to Mikumi National Park, which takes around 5 hours by driving. In the afternoon, you'll arrive in Mikumi, check in at your camp. Later, you'll relax for your overnight stay, waiting for the next day's game drive and visiting the Maasai Boma in the evening after game driving in Mikumi National Park.

Day 4 Full Game Drives in Mikumi National Park

Early morning game drive to explore more of Mikumi wildlife like lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and landscapes. You will have lunch at Mikumi Cottages within Mikumi National Park. In the afternoon, you'll visit the scenic areas of the park, such as hills and hippo pools. You'll enjoy the view of the park's unique landscapes and animal sightings. In the evening, you will exit the Mikumi National Park, ready to catch the road to Maasai Village for learning about their cultures and traditions. After the Maasai village tour, your driver will drive you back to your camp for dinner and rest, waiting for the next day's trip back to Dar es Salaam from Jakaya SGR Station in Morogoro by using the SGR Train.

ou’ll have an early breakfast before departing from your camp in Mikumi for the train station. You will board the Tanzania Railways train for a scenic and comfortable journey back to Dar es Salaam. The train ride offers a relaxing way to experience the countryside, with picturesque views of the landscape, local villages, and wildlife as you pass through the southern regions of Tanzania. The train ride takes approximately 1 hour, giving you plenty of time to relax, enjoy the passing scenery, and reflect on your adventure. You will be served meals on board, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience throughout the journey. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam in the afternoon, your safari experience concludes. You will be transferred to your hotel or airport, marking the end of your unforgettable safari journey across Tanzania. Meals: Breakfast and lunch (end of the tour).
