Day 1 Travel from Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your lodge and depart for Tarangire National Park with a packed lunch. Famous for its large elephant herds and scenic landscapes, Tarangire offers outstanding wildlife viewing along the life-giving Tarangire River, where elephants and many other species are often seen. After an exciting game drive, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2 Game Drives in Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you'll set off for Lake Manyara National Park, a picturesque sanctuary celebrated for its remarkable ecological diversity, from lush groundwater forests and acacia woodlands to baobab-studded escarpments, open swamps, and the glistening alkaline lake. Though compact in size, the park boasts rich wildlife and outstanding birdlife, highlighted by its impressive troops of baboons and a wide variety of migratory and resident species.

Day 3 Serengeti National Park - The Ultimate Wildlife Viewing Paradise

You'll journey through the crater highlands with an en-route game drive, eventually reaching the expansive Serengeti plains. Weather permitting, you'll stop briefly at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint. You'll pause for a hot lunch at Naabi Hill gate before entering the park for an afternoon game drive. You'll end the day with dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

You'll dedicate the day to exploring the Serengeti, a wildlife haven teeming with impalas, buffaloes, hippos, and crocodiles. Its iconic landscapes offer excellent opportunities to encounter top predators. Depending on the season, you may venture beyond the central plains to witness an awe-inspiring and truly once-in-a-lifetime safari experience.

Day 5 From Serengeti Adventure via Ngorongoro Conservation Area

You'll begin your day with a final Serengeti sunrise, a truly magical moment as the early light casts golden hues over the endless plains. After breakfast at your lodge or campsite, prepare for a scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey winds through rolling savannahs and crater highlands, offering a final opportunity to spot wildlife along the way. Keep your camera ready, as herds of zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles often graze near the roadside, while predators such as lions and cheetahs may be spotted in the distance and continue your journey down to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and overnight at your lodge offer a chance to relax and reflect on the extraordinary experiences of your safari, preparing you for the next stage of your Tanzanian adventure.

Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater Safari & Return to Arusha

After an early breakfast, you'll descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a year-round sanctuary sustained by abundant water and rich grazing. The crater is home to vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, elands, warthogs, hippos, and elephants, alongside a dense population of predators including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard. You'll visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, where flamingos, hippos, and other water birds gather. In the late afternoon, you will transfer back to Arusha for an airport drop-off.
