6-Day Great Mara Plains & Pristine Diani Beach Vacation

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or airport in Nairobi. Travel in a luxury 4x4 safari jeep with a pop-up roof, offering comfort and excellent wildlife viewing. The scenic drive takes you through the breathtaking landscapes of the Great Rift Valley, where you will make a short stop at the viewpoint to admire the panoramic views before continuing toward Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your camp in time for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, head out for your first thrilling game drive across the vast savannah plains. Keep your camera ready as you search for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many other wildlife species that call the Mara home. Later in the evening, return to your camp for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

After breakfast, spend the day exploring the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s richest wildlife ecosystems. Your safari is conducted in the 4x4 pop-up roof jeep, allowing you to stand and enjoy unobstructed views of the wildlife and surrounding landscapes. You may choose to begin the day with an optional hot air balloon safari (at extra cost) at sunrise, followed by a memorable bush breakfast in the wilderness. Later, continue with a full-day game drive with picnic lunch, exploring the reserve’s diverse habitats and tracking the famous Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. The safari will also take you to the famous Mara River, a dramatic wildlife hotspot especially during the migration season (June to October). Return to your c in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out of the camp and drive to the nearby airstrip where you will board your flight to Ukunda Diani Beach. The flight is approximately 2 hours 15 minutes. Upon arrival at Ukunda airstrip, our representative will pick you up and transfer you to your beach hotel. Hear your beach holiday begins with the welcoming sea breeze from the Indian ocean and the sparkling white sands along the beach.

Wake up to the gentle sound of waves and enjoy a relaxed breakfast at your beach resort. Spend the day at leisure on the white sandy beaches of Diani, soaking in the sun, swimming in the turquoise waters, or simply unwinding with a good book. For those seeking adventure, there are optional water sports and activities available at an extra charge, including snorkeling, diving, dhow sailing, kite surfing, or deep-sea fishing. In the evening, return to your resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Enjoy another full day of relaxation along the stunning coastline. Continue to enjoy the pristine beach or take part in optional excursions and water activities at an additional cost, such as marine safaris, glass-bottom boat trips, or local village tours. Meals and overnight stay remain at your beach resort, giving you a perfect blend of leisure, adventure, and coastal charm.

After breakfast and check out, you will be transferred to Ukunda airport for your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Masai Mara and Diani Beach safari, leaving you with lasting memories of Kenya’s wildlife, landscapes, and coastal beauty.
