Day 1 Bujumbura to Kigali Transfer

Begin with a hotel pickup in Bujumbura at 08:00 on Sundays and Wednesdays or 13:35 on other days, followed by a transfer to Melchior Ndadaye International Airport. Enjoy a scenic 45 minute flight to Kigali where you'll meet your guide and check in at Hotel des Mille Collines. Spend the afternoon relaxing as you prepare for the exciting wildlife and cultural encounters awaiting in Rwanda.
Day 2 Transfer to Akagera and Boat Trip

Start with an early breakfast and depart Kigali for Akagera National Park, known for its rolling plains, lakes, and savannah landscapes. Upon arrival, enjoy a calming boat trip on Lake Ihema where you may spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds. After the excursion, settle in at salt of Akagera or a peaceful evening overlooking the park.
Day 3 Game Drive and Transfer to Volcanoes NP

Head out for a rewarding game drive through Akagera National Park and search for elephants, lions, giraffes, antelopes, and diverse birdlife. The drive offers excellent photography moments across wide open savannahs. After the safari, journey north toward Volcanoes National Park, arriving at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4 Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes NP

Day 6 Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk

Day 7 Colobus Trek and Transfer to Kigali

Take a morning trek to observe the large troops of Colobus monkeys that inhabit Nyungwe's lush forest. Arrive in Kigali and proceed to the airport for your outbound flight, marking the end of your incredible journey.
