8-Day Rwanda Wildlife, Gorilla & Chimpanzee Adventure

You'll arrive at Kigali International Airport, greeted with VIP Meet & Greet services for fast-track assistance with visas and luggage. You'll meet your experienced guide, who will accompany you throughout your journey. You'll start exploring Kigali with a hands-on Coffee Master Class, learning about Rwanda's world-renowned coffee from bean to cup. You'll visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to understand Rwanda's history and pay respects. In the afternoon, you will enjoy optional experiences such as a cultural walk in Nyamirambo, visits to art galleries, souvenir shopping, or bird sanctuary tours. You'll conclude the day with a fine dining experience at Atelier du Vin Rwanda (dinner at your own expense). Your overnight stay will be in Kigali.

After breakfast, you'll embark on a scenic drive to Akagera National Park, passing rolling hills, plantations, and vibrant villages. You'll receive a behind-the-scenes briefing from park rangers about conservation efforts. You'll check in at Ruzizi Tented Lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, you'll enjoy a short game drive and a thrilling boat tour on the lake, spotting elephants, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and a variety of birds. Your overnight stay will be at Ruzizi Tented Lodge under the stars.

After breakfast, you will venture on a full-day safari to Akagera's northern plains with a knowledgeable ranger. You will explore diverse landscapes, spotting elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, antelopes, and rare birds. You'll pause for a picnic lunch amidst nature. Conclude the day at Karenge Bush Camp, enjoying peaceful surroundings and evening reflections on the day's wildlife encounters. Your overnight stay will be at Karenge Bush Camp.

You'll start early with a morning safari to catch wildlife activity in Akagera. After breakfast, you will transfer to Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda's iconic gorilla trekking destination. You will visit Ellen Campus in the late evening to learn about gorilla conservation and the campus's work in educating local communities and training future conservationists. Your overnight stay will be at Sambora Lodge.

You'll wake up at sunrise and head to the park headquarters for a briefing, tea, coffee, and porters to assist with trekking. You'll spend a breathtaking morning tracking mountain gorillas, observing their playful behavior, social interactions, and forest life. Capture memorable photos while guided to the best viewing spots. You'll return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Your overnight stay will be at Sambora Lodge.

You'll enjoy an early breakfast before a scenic drive to Nyungwe National Park, traveling through Rwanda's beautiful countryside. Upon arrival, before checking in at your lodge, you'll embark on an exhilarating guided hike and zipline through the rainforest. You will experience the 60-meter-high canopy walk for panoramic views and spot monkeys, birds, and other wildlife. Your overnight stay will be at Munanzi Lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the park offices for chimpanzee trekking. You'll track chimpanzees with guidance from rangers and local porters, spending an hour observing their playful interactions in the lush forest. You will return to the lodge for lunch and enjoy the afternoon at leisure with optional walks, birdwatching, or simply relaxing in nature. Your overnight stay will be at Munanzi Lodge.

You will begin your day with breakfast before a scenic 5 - 6 hour drive back to Kigali, passing through picturesque hills, villages, and landscapes. You will enjoy a lunch stop en route. You'll arrive at Kigali International Airport for your departure, with VIP Meet & Greet services to ensure a smooth send-off. This is the end of your memorable Rwanda adventure.
