9-Day Bush and Beach Safari in a Landcruiser

Early morning, you will depart from Nairobi (around 7:00 AM) to make the most of the day. You'll enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, stopping at viewpoints for photo opportunities. Upon arrival in the afternoon at your chosen Maasai Mara camp or lodge in time for lunch and check-in. After lunch, you'll take some time to relax and enjoy the facilities of the camp/lodge. In the late evening, you will embark on an evening game drive (optional activities) in the Masai Mara National Reserve with experienced guides. The evening is an excellent time to spot wildlife, as many animals become more active in the cooler temperatures. You will spend your night at the hotel and take your dinner.

On this day, you will be waking up early before sunrise for a thrilling hot air balloon safari (optional but highly recommended at an extra cost). Float silently over the vast savannah and witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Masai Mara. (Note: This activity may need to be booked in advance.) After the balloon ride, you'll enjoy a bush breakfast at a scenic spot in the park, organized by the balloon safari company. At Mid-morning, you'll head out for a full-day game drive to explore different areas of the Masai Mara and maximize your chances of spotting the diverse wildlife. Keep an eye out for the famous Big Five. You'll stay and have dinner at your lodge within the park.

You'll have an early breakfast and depart from the Masai Mara and head to Lake Naivasha. You'll arrive at Lake Naivasha. You will check in at your chosen lodge or camp upon arrival. In the afternoon, you'll go on a boat safari on Lake Naivasha. The lake is home to a variety of birdlife, including African fish eagles, pelicans, and cormorants. You might also spot hippos and other wildlife. If time permits, consider visiting Crescent Island, a sanctuary located on Lake Naivasha. It is a beautiful peninsula where you can take a walking safari among the wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and more. You'll spend the evening relaxing at your lodge or camp. Many accommodations in the area offer beautiful views of the lake, making it a perfect place to unwind.

You will get an early morning start and drive to Amboseli National Park. You will go on an afternoon game drive after checking in at your accommodation and eating lunch. Amboseli National Park is situated south of Nairobi. Most of the park consists of a dry, ancient lakebed and fragile grassland with patches of acacia woodland. In the southern area, there are a number of small, rocky, volcanic hills. Around the Ol Okenya, Ol Tukai, and Enkongo Narok swamps, the vegetation is lush with yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge. You'll rise early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit. Despite its changing habitat, Amboseli National Park is possibly the best wildlife area in all of Africa to experience elephants at close range. Elephants feeding and bathing in the swamps form the highlights of any safari! An optional visit to a Maasai village can be planned after breakfast. You will see the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. You'll enjoy breakfast at your lodge in Amboseli Sopa and check out. Depending on your departure time, you might have the option for a short morning game drive before leaving the park. You'll depart from Amboseli National Park, begin your journey from the Park at Voi train station to Diani beach via Mombasa Terminus. The train will take some hours. Lunch En Route Plan for a stopover at a suitable location for lunch en route to Diani Beach. Once you arrive at Diani Beach, you'll check in at your chosen accommodation. You'll spend the afternoon relaxing on the beautiful sandy beach of Diani. The beach offers a perfect setting to unwind and soak in the sun. You'll enjoy the breathtaking sunset views over the Indian Ocean. Diani Beach is known for its stunning sunsets, so find a spot to witness this magical sight. On this day, you will be spending time here on the white sands of Diani beach at leisure, with the option of engaging in water sports. Diani beach is an endless sight with a flawless, long stretch of white sand that is hugged by lush forest. The beach is all magnificence, and we are not only talking about its marvelous coastline and deep blue waters here but also its overall ambiance, scenery, and landscape. Diani is an entertainer, and judging from the myriad of activities to engage in here, the chances of getting bored are at zero. Deep-sea diving, snorkeling, diving, windsurfing, kayaking, and kiting are some of the things you could do here. Depending on your adventure desire levels, you will partake in any of these activities.

After having breakfast at your hotel and check out. Depending on your travel plans, you might have some time in the morning to enjoy the beach before departing. Then you will go to Ukunda Airstrip. After which, you will have a domestic flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi, then a transfer to JKIA airport.
